ABOUT

Physical Therapy- for many people that brings to mind doing a lot of exercises or stretches. Maybe someone is there to monitor you, and maybe you're just told what to do and then left to your own devices. Either way, that leaves a lot to be desired for anyone needing the services of a Physical Therapist...and quite frankly, can often leave you feeling like you have invested a lot of your time and money for nothing more than some basic exercises that are no better than winging it on your own with exercise videos from youtube or a month's membership to your local gym.

I approach the practice of physical therapy differently. People deserve access to high quality care from someone invested in helping them get better. The patient should understand WHAT they are doing, HOW to do it correctly, and WHY it will help them. Care should be interactive, progressive, specific to the individual, and include lots of verbal, visual, and tactile feedback so patients get the biggest bang for their buck. In 2023, Perform Physical Therapy was born with those key principles in mind.

  •  one-on-one care that is individualized

  •  hands-on approach

  •  continuity of care from start to finish

  • most definitely NOT your "basic exercise program" approach

If this sounds like the right fit for you, then stop waiting!! Give me a call or click to schedule an appointment, and let's get started on getting you better and back to living life to your fullest! Simple as that.

MEET THE DOC

My name is Dr. Stephanie H. Munro, PT, DPT- owner and treating Physical Therapist at Perform Physical Therapy.

I spent 10 years building my professional knowledge in a variety of settings: private practice, schools, hospitals, nursing home, and nonprofit hospital-based outpatient clinics. So I can honestly say I've seen a lot. I've worked with patients ages 5-103. I've helped athletes return to play, weekend warriors get back to their game, working folks get back to their jobs, and older adults increase their functional mobility and independence. I've treated just about every part of the body- head to toe, literally!

I believe the key to getting better starts with establishing a trusting relationship- patients need to feel confident about the skill of the provider and the care they are going to get. I use a combination approach that includes hands-on manual therapy and corrective exercise prescription to help my patients get back to performing all of life's activities with less pain, greater independence, and more confidence.
